Safety, Lighting, Energy Efficiency Program (SLEEP)

SLEEP (Safety, Lighting, Energy Efficiency Program)

Through increased lighting and security, the Safety, Lighting, Energy Efficiency Program (SLEEP) can make homes in target neighborhoods in Champaign County safer and more energy efficient while curbing community violence.

SLEEP is a partnership between Champaign County and the RPC that provides the opportunity for yard pole lights, video doorbells, and exterior lights at no cost to qualifying homes. The program is now available to homeowners in the Dobbins Down (Champaign), Scottswood (Urbana), and Pleasant Acres (Rantoul) neighborhoods.

If you are a homeowner in one of those neighborhoods, click here to share your contact information and the details of your interest in SLEEP. An RPC staff member will contact you by phone and/or email within approximately 7-10 business days after you complete the interest form.
