Registration Now Full for the May 2018 Residential Electronics Collection

A collection of old televisions

The registration is now FULL for the May 2018 collection. The next Residential Electronics Collection event will be in October 2018. The registration for that collection event will open on Monday, September 10.

Registration and REC Event Details

If you are registered for the May 19 event, you will receive a postcard in the mail approximately two weeks before the event (the postcard will serve as your ticket into the event).  If you do not receive your postcard by May 16, please call 217-403-4780.

At the collection events, there is a two-TV limit per person/postcard (ALL TYPES, MODELS, AND SIZES OF TV’s ARE ACCEPTED!) and a 10-item total limit per postcard. Click here to view the list: Accepted and Non-Accepted Items List.

These events take place at Parkland College (2400 W. Bradley Avenue in Champaign). We ask that residents use the DUNCAN ROAD ENTRANCE and then follow the signs. Car pooling is allowed and encouraged (you can use multiple postcards for one vehicle). ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED removing items from your vehicle. Please do not have anything surrounding your electronics that you do not want taken out of your vehicle!

The Residential Electronics Collection event will go ahead rain or shine. That includes thunder and/or  lightning. Keep in mind that rain will slow things down, but the wait is still minimal. The weather would have to get very severe before we cancel.
