All RPC Locations Closed to the Public Through at Least April 7 While Staff Works Remotely

Due to the ongoing national emergency with COVID-19, all RPC locations, including the main office at the Brookens Administrative Center (1776 E. Washington Street in Urbana), will be closed to the public through at least April 7, 2020, while staff works remotely. This includes all five of the RPC’s Early Childhood Education Centers in Champaign County.

Services for individuals and families currently enrolled in RPC programs will continue through technology such as phone calls and possibly even online consultations. Individuals or families who have meetings scheduled, such as with the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), will be contacted by their case managers by phone. Individuals and families are also encouraged to reach out to their assigned case managers by phone or e-mail with any questions.

Services provided by the RPC’s Workforce Development staff at the Illinois workNet Center (1307 N. Mattis), as well as the program’s Paxton, Watseka, Monticello, and Tuscola office locations, will continue through e-mail and phone calls. Individuals who have scheduled meetings should contact their case managers for further direction. Individuals can also drop off paperwork to case managers using the lockbox labeled “RPC” at the main Illinois workNet Center. Workforce Development case managers will be performing intakes and follow-up appointments via telephone. Customers are encouraged to reach out to their case managers with questions.

The RPC’s Youth Assessment Center (YAC), located at 2011 Round Barn Road in Champaign, will also not be open for in-person appointments until further notice. Those who would like to submit a referral for the YAC can send an e-mail to rpcyacemail@co.champaign.il.us. YAC staff will be performing all intakes and follow-up appointments via phone.

Champaign County residents are also reminded that they can call the RPC’s main phone line at 217-328-3313 or check our website for updates. The RPC thanks all its clients and community partners for their understanding and patience during this difficult time.
