Champaign County will hold a closeout public hearing on December 17, 2021, at 11am in the Shields-Carter Meeting Room at the Brookens Administrative Center (1776 E. Washington Street, Urbana) to report outcomes and provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the program activities and performance of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Downstate Small Business Stabilization (DSBS) grants funded through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. This program is funded by Title 1 of the federal Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. Persons with disabilities or non-English speaking persons who wish to attend the public hearing and need assistance should contact Kathy Larson at email@example.com or 217-819-4101 no later than December 16, 2021. Every effort will be made to make reasonable accommodations for these persons.
The total amount of funds awarded to address the needs of the businesses due to the COVID-19 emergency was $25,000; and was used to assist the following businesses with working capital needs: Sagamore Publishing, L.L.C.
All interested citizens are invited to provide comments either at the public hearing or by prior written statement. Written comments should be submitted to Kathy Larson at firstname.lastname@example.org (or 1776 E. Washington Street, Urbana, IL 61802) no later than December 17, 2021, to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public hearing proceedings. This grant-funded project resulted in no displacement of any persons or businesses.
