Through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), we can pay for you to attend local training programs to get new skills or obtain a professional certification. There are possibilities for training or certification in many different occupations, and in many different industries, including information technology, manufacturing, office and clerical, trucking and logistics, accounting, and more.
To apply for a WIOA Training Grant in Champaign, Douglas, Ford, Iroquois, or Piatt County, please complete and return a pre-application. (Not sure what WIOA grants are? Learn More)
Prior to applying, it is recommended that you search for approved training programs at illinoisworknet.com.
If you need assistance filling out the pre-application, please attend an orientation at the Champaign Illinois Workforce Centers (see sidebar), which are held on Mondays at 2pm and Wednesdays at 10am or call one of the other Illinois Workforce Centers (see sidebar).
You can get the pre-application form by either downloading it or requesting a PDF via email.
