RPC Seeks New Member

The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (RPC) is currently looking for candidates interested in serving as one of two Community Members on the Commission. Historically, there has been one Community Member of the Regional Planning Commission, but a recent By-law change created an opportunity for a second Community Member to be appointed to the Commission.

The term for the new Community Member will be from January 2019 through the end of 2020.  Commission members receive no compensation.

The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission was created in 1966, and with each subsequent decade since, it has significantly grown and had numerous changes. The RPC provides and administers a variety of services, including planning, community and economic development, early childhood education, and community services for Champaign and surrounding counties.

It is the mission of the RPC to promote, plan, facilitate, and accomplish improvements to the health, safety, welfare, education, economic conditions, and regional development within Champaign County in particular, and also within the greater area of East Central Illinois.

All interested persons are encouraged to apply. Simply print and fill out the form below and mail or deliver to Pam Schroeder at the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (1776 E. Washington St., Urbana, IL 61802). Applications must be submitted no later than 5pm Monday, October 1, 2018.
