2018 Positive Rating There was no bicyclist fatality in 2018 in the Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). The 5-year rolling average didn’t change. Positive rating.
2019 Positive Rating There was no bicyclist fatality in 2019 in the Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). The 5-year rolling average didn’t change. Positive rating.
2020 Negative Rating There were 2 bicyclist-related fatalities in 2020 in the Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA), an increase from 0.4 fatalities in 2017 (5-year rolling average). The 5-year rolling average increased 100 percent from 2017 (2013-2017) to 0.8 fatalities in 2020 (2016-2020), which is higher than the 2020 objective (0.34) needed for achieving 5 percent annual reduction by 2025. Negative rating.
2021 Positive Rating There was no bicyclist fatality in 2021 in the Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). There could not have been an even lower number of fatalities in 2021 than 0. Positive rating.
