Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) FY 2020-2025
The Transportation Improvement Program lists transportation projects anticipated to be constructed in the metropolitan planning area during the current fiscal year and at least the next three fiscal years. The program reflects the goals, objectives, and recommendations from the 25-year Long Range Transportation Plan in the short term.
By mandate, the TIP must include projects receiving federal and state funding; the CUUATS program also includes local projects from our member agencies. Compiling the document requires a consensus among all CUUATS agencies, thus establishing compliance with federal laws and eligibility for federal funding.
As of June 17, 2020, the TIP will be updated every three years rather than every year. After approval from the CUUATS Technical Committee on June 10, 2020 and the CUUATS Policy Committee on June 17, 2020, the TIP FY 2020-2023 was expanded to include fiscal years 2024 and 2025 and renamed TIP FY 2020-2025 in June 2020. The last TIP update was completed in June 2019, the next TIP update will be completed by October 1, 2022. All additions or changes to the TIP Project Database will continue to be incorporated on an ongoing basis through the existing procedures for amendments and administrative modifications outlined in the TIP Introduction and Background.
