Take Our Community Needs Assessment and Help Us Identify Causes and Conditions of Poverty in the Community

In an effort to better serve Champaign County residents, the RPC’s Community Services Division is conducting a Community Needs Assessment to identify strengths and needs in the community. Champaign County residents are invited to provide their feedback by completing a community assessment.

A Community Needs Assessment is a systematic process that creates a profile of the needs and resources of a community or target population. It is intended to produce a clear description of the specific causes and conditions of poverty in the community, while considering the existing resources available and the gaps that are preventing economic mobility.

The Community Needs Assessment is a systematic process used to create a profile of needs and resources of a community and or target population. The needs assessment results contribute to the data used in developing a Community Action Plan to address causes and conditions of poverty in the community.
