Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) FY 2023-2028
The TIP FY 2023-2028 will be available for public review and comment from Tuesday September 20 to Thursday October 20, 2022; after which, it will be updated and presented for approval at the December CUUATS Technical and Policy Committee meetings on December 7th and 14th, respectively. The TIP is updated every three years: the previous update occurred in 2020, and the next TIP update will be completed in 2026.
The Transportation Improvement Program lists transportation projects anticipated to be constructed in the metropolitan planning area during the current fiscal year and at least the next three fiscal years. The program reflects federal transportation goals as well as the goals, objectives, and recommendations from the 25-year Long Range Transportation Plan in the short term.
By mandate, the TIP must include projects receiving federal and state funding; the CUUATS program also includes local projects from our member agencies. Compiling the document requires a consensus among all CUUATS agencies, thus establishing compliance with federal laws and eligibility for federal funding.
Additions and changes to the TIP Project Database are incorporated on an ongoing basis through the existing procedures for amendments and administrative modifications outlined in the TIP Introduction and Background.
